“Before beginning any piece, I take a moment to realize exactly what it is about the subject that initially caught my eye or stirred an emotion. Only then do I decide how to fill the canvas and bring it to life in my unique way. I invite you to experience the positive emotions these images can hold.”

I deciced to take a break from my astronomical paintings and create something more 'earthbound'.

The faces of these seven sheep is painted very thickly with acrylic paint over a textured background.  The paint on the wool is so thick you want to touch it!  They came out of the old field stone barn and stood for their portrait and each face has it's own personality.  It is painted on stretched canvas and continues around the 3/4 inch edges so a frame is not needed.

If you click on the image it will take you to the gallery with my other landscape and farmscape images.
